Music123.com is the culmination of a 75 year old family business. Starting as a regional music retail chain, Zapf’s Music eventually moved it’s entire business online, and when partnered with their sister site, Woodwind and Brasswind, became the 2nd largest musical instrument retailer worldwide.
The Music123 customer was more rock, pop or blues than the Woodwind & Brasswind customer, and the site needed to reflect that. Edgy graphics and a focus on harder music achieved this, and even though both sites ran on product listing from the same database, using a different CSS set-up allowed a whole different look and feel.
